Oil free

Oil free

The term generally applies to the condition of the air either when it leaves the compressor, or after filtration. An oil-free compressor will have no lubrication on the compression side of the machine. However this may not result in oil-free compressed air, simply due to the fact that the ambient air being sucked into the compressor will contain hydrocarbons which will condense into liquid oil further down stream.(0301)
